Red Skies

The sky is all red,
Red like the eyes of that girl crying,
Crying about something,
A little unclear, a little muddled,
She has already forgotten “why?”
But she cannot forget the pain.

When the rain caresses your cheeks,
You can almost feel the sorrow,
Her sorrow.
It’s cold,
But in some ways still is warm;
Stings you.

Then the flash,
The thunder strikes.
For a moment there
Everyone is dazed
And everything clear,
Clear as daylight.

  1. I’ve been going through your stuff and all I can say is wow. This is how scratches on the paper turn into words. I got no words. It’s just wow.
